Leighton Paul Walsh, born and raised between Jamaica and Florida, is better known as Walshy Fire. He is a DJ, MC, producer, and one of the three members of Major Lazer, alongside Diplo and Ape Drums.

Walshy Fire has contributed to the production of Major Lazer’s projects and collaborated with superstar artists across various genres while remaining true to cultural authenticity, particularly regarding the subgenres of Caribbean music. The group has made a global impact with numerous hit singles such as Watch Out For This, Light It Up, Cold Water… and, of course, the iconic Lean On, which has surpassed 3 billion streams.

As a solo DJ, he has held residencies in several Miami clubs over the years and continues to perform internationally at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals, delivering eclectic and electrifying sets that blend different musical styles. He also performs under his signature concept, Rum & Bass, where he combines danceable grooves with global influencesand the vibrant energy of carnival culture.

Walshy Fire released his solo album Abeng under the Mad Decent label. This album marks a unique collaboration between Africa and the Caribbean, bringing together artists from both regions. As a producer, he has contributed to many projects, notably co-producing two tracks, "Toast" and "Throne", from the EP of Jamaican artist Koffee, which won a Grammy Award.
