Rafael Aragon’s music is bewitching — powerful yet delicate, in constant evolution, abolishing boundaries and connecting worlds. From contemplative ambient pieces to tracks tailored for the dancefloor, his musical palette is vast but preserves a unique identity, deeply rooted in psychedelia and Afro‑Latin, SWANA, and broader folkloric traditions. Sufi chants, ritual percussions, and syncretic music meet punchy kicks, deep basslines, and electronic polyrhythms, creating a sensory, hypnotic experience.
With numerous eclectic releases on various labels around the world over more than fifteen years, and a continuous run of sets in clubs, parties, and festivals across Europe, South America, North Africa, and Japan, Rafael has built a reputation as a versatile and talented artist: producer, composer, live performer, and DJ.
Beyond his DJ sets and live concerts, Rafael is an event organizer, radio enthusiast, music teacher, and soundtrack composer, involved in a wide range of artistic and social projects. He is resident DJ and ambassador of the Goulash Disko Festival, as well as co‑creator and curator of WOMB, a series of daytime, dance‑free events dedicated to ambient and experimental music.
During the last decade, he has organized numerous nights in Brussels, his adopted city, first with his former collectives Global Hybrid and Love Foundation, and more recently with his own Goulash Disko events. A recognized DJ on the ecstatic dance scene, he collaborates with dance companies and continues to explore different forms of emancipation through musical and artistic expression.
