Felix Da Housecat

Saturday, August 8

To say Felix Da Housecat has nine lives is almost a cliché. Emerging at the very beginnings of house in Chicago when he was still a teenager, he became one of the most influential artists in electronic music. Over the decades he has written hymns for several musical movements, remixed artists from Madonna and Britney Spears to Nina Simone, and collaborated with legendary figures such as Lee “Scratch” Perry.

Spotted at a very young age by DJ Pierre, Felix had his first early success as a teenager before establishing himself on the house and techno scenes in Europe during the 1990s. At the turn of the 2000s he became a defining figure of the electroclash wave with the cult album Kittenz and Thee Glitz and iconic tracks like Silver Screen Shower Scene.

Always guided by his love for groove and his musical instinct, Felix Da Housecat has never stopped pushing the boundaries between house, funk, electro, and pop. After several decades in the game, his creative energy remains undiminished: a unique sonic signature, poised between Chicago house pulse, 80s spirit, and futuristic boldness.
