Aprile, whose real name is Nicolas Donnay, is a young Belgian artist from Liege. He learnt to play guitar on his own at a very early age and started writing his own lyrics, then his first songs. His first track "Cheap chick", released in 2015, was later followed by an EP with pop and electro influences, “Giving up time”, in 2020.

On stage, Aprile is surrounded by a real live band that brings the project to life in a unique form, alongside the artist's releases. “Like I'm Over This” and “Millions To Me” were released in the summer 2021 with French producer N.A.O. In the autumn he released “Get To Me”, his first collaboration with Leo FiftyFive.

At the same time, he was preparing his very first album “From Heaven“, which has been released in April. In this opus, Aprile explores a new melancholy, one that goes from laughter to tears and where we discover that the meaning of things has been hidden deep inside us all this time. With his head in the clouds, Aprile allows himself to doubt and question. Crying is a relief, but only to get better and take his life in hand. Faced with catharsis, taking care of oneself becomes the best remedy.

In his world, imagination can overcome dark thoughts, because one story can always hide another. In the video of his first single “Keep us from heaven”, Aprile plays with the scenario of a love affair that may never have existed. While the artist describes the obstacles we face to achieve our life goals, the reality no longer seems insurmountable at all. Of course, we all seek the same thing, and not in the same way. But the way that Aprile proposes is simple: while the world is spinning out of control, we can still write the story ourselves, and above all, we can still dance.
